Designed to recognise learners by the Awarding body who have overcome difficult personal circumstances in order to succeed in their studies, the Against All Odds award is very special given by the Awarding Body. The Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal 4 July 2021
“We are delighted to advise you that APeducation Online will be sponsoring The Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal cricket match, which will be taking place in London.“
The Lord Mayor William Russell will captain a team against his brother, actor Damian Lewis, OBE on the day, which should make this quite an exciting event. To make things even more interesting our managing director who plays cricket at county level, has been asked to join Damian’s team for the match.
Both the Lord Mayor and Damian Lewis have commented on how much they both enjoy playing and watching cricket and also how much they are looking forward to playing for this great charity event.
The Lord Mayor’s Appeal has four chosen charities: Place2Be, OnSide Youth Zones, Samaritans and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. They will all benefit from the funds raised at the event. These great charities all deliver ground breaking programmes which not only change people’s lives, but also save them. We are delighted that by sponsoring this event, we at APeducation Online are contributing to this wonderful cause.
Finally, good luck to our Managing Director who is playing this tournament under Damien Lewis captaincy and hope his team wins on the day (not that we’re being biased) 🙂
